Overview

Daifuku ELS-02a smallElite Line Services is a major single source maintenance solution in the industry with the bandwidth to service all of your equipment maintenance needs. We maintain all original equipment manufacturers for material handling equipment, BHS, PBB, Facilities, GSE and vehicles. Our hybrid programs efficiently cross utilize technicians between equipment types to provide seamless coverage that protects the best interest of our customers. Whether this is getting full warranty value for new parts and systems or applying experienced and specialized technical support for mature equipment needs, ELS has you covered.

Responsibilities

  • Scan the bar code of baggage tags that are not read by automated scanners.
  • Keys in make-up unit information if bar code tag is not accessible or is unreadable.
  • Move baggage from default pier and delivers to appropriate airline pier or make-up unit.
  • Complete computer entries and paperwork appropriate for tasks performed.
  • Assist Technicians with preventative maintenance which includes cleaning and applying lubrication to system components, and general housekeeping in the work area.
  • Provide relief coverage for System Coordinators in the Control Room.
  • Responsible for clearing baggage jams on the system.
  • May be responsible for moving baggage tubs to and from the bag room to various locations within the assigned work area.
  • Complete all training as assigned by the Company.
  • Compliance with all ELS safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties/assignments that may be required by management from time to time.

 

Qualifications

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Ability to pass a basic aptitude test.
  • Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous work experience in an Airport environment.
  • Good knowledge of industrial safety.
  • Ability to work in tight and high spaces with proper PPE.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Previous mechanical experience.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Outlook)

 

Additional Responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in the terminal bag room in conditions that is exposed to hot, cold, and occasionally wet weather. The environment contains dust, dirt, and a continual noise level that may occasionally require the use of hearing protection. Use of proper PPE is required.
